Peter joined LCA in August 2022, having previously worked in political research and teaching. Following post-graduate studies in Politics and International Relations, during which time he was awarded the Elections Centre Prize for the best student in the field of Electoral Studies and also captained the University Challenge team, Peter conducted research in areas including elections, candidates and democracy, simultaneously holding lecturing posts at two British universities.

At LCA, he has worked on a number of exciting projects across the capital and beyond, including the North London Waste Authority’s new Joint Waste Strategy, Cadogan’s transformation of Sloane Street and is currently working on the City of London’s market relocation programme. In addition to this, he co-authors our Social Housing Weekly newsletter, and has worked on residential schemes for Mount Anvil, Clarion, Crosstree and others.

Peter’s principal research interests are elections and public opinion and have centred around the question of how and why people engage with politics. He developed experience in this area whilst undertaking research at the Elections Centre, a highly-regarded political research group. Peter is passionate about the ways in which people interact with their built environment, as individuals and communities and their engagement with local and national planning policy.

Married with two young daughters, Peter is a keen yachtsman and musician. He enjoys sailing with his family at weekends and has directed a number of choirs as well as playing a range of instruments. Peter has a deep interest in the historical and architectural quirks of London.
