We love elections at LCA – even ones we weren’t supposed to be having!

Although the end result does seem a foregone conclusion, there are lots of fascinating questions to be posed, the answers to which will also help point towards the outcome of the next local elections in London this time next year.

So this month’s issue of LDN – London in Short includes a feature on how the election campaign in London is shaping up and the likely goals for the main parties in the capital. We also review the recent local and metro mayor results and look at what this tells us about the possible outcomes next month.

We will also be issuing a general election special briefing in two weeks time and you can rely on us too for a results special document the day after the 8 June vote.

If however you are one party political broadcast away from election overload, you can always catch up on other news from around the capital. In our Development section we feature the latest council moves to build new housing, while air quality issues continue to linger in the Transport and Environment pages. Elsewhere the Chelsea Flower Show or London History Day in the Culture section could prove the perfect antidote to political white noise.

We always welcome your comments on this month’s issue and do let your colleagues know they can sign up to receive LDN – London in Short here.
