Steve McAdam joins LCA
Today, 1 October, sees Steve McAdam join the LCA team as Senior Advisor.
I’ve known Steve for over 20 years, and we’ve always worked well together when collaborating on clients. Unfortunately, it’s not always like that. Some agencies you don’t like working with, some you kind of just get on with, and some you really enjoy.
Steve and Soundings were always in that latter camp. We admired each-other’s agencies and Soundings were rightly hugely respected across the sector.
They were great at really getting under skin of the communities where they worked and pioneered co-design processes. Steve has experience working on King’s Cross, the London Olympic and post-Olympic masterplans, Chelsea Barracks, the placemaking strategy for the Royal Docks, and many other projects.
We worked together on projects including Derwent in Fitzrovia, the Royal Brompton Hospital, Canada Water and the Aylesbury Estate.
Steve joining LCA was a natural fit for us both. We share the same values and his remit at LCA will be to further strengthen our engagement capabilities, especially at grass roots level, develop benchmark co-design processes, and help our clients successfully maximise social value outcomes.
We’ve been growing and investing in the team and our capabilities and are now a team of 75 people, with a dedicated research and insight function, a specialist social media team, an in-house graphic design studio and deep expertise across media and consumer campaigning, community engagement and public affairs.
